Emma Belle Taylor

1926-2014

Emma Belle Taylor was born on July 1, 1926 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to the union of Roy and Ada Nelson Craig.  She was the fourth child of seven.  Emma met and married Matthew Taylor, Jr. They were united for 40 years until his passing. They were blessed with six children

Emma Belle was a very happy and loving person.  Emma Belle served the Lord faithfully as the president of the senior choir, asst. superintended of Sunday school, secretary of the mission, church clerk, secretary, and she also supervised the kitchen.  She worked with the Muskogee Schools systems and then moved to labor at Commercial Bank until she retired in 1991. On Thursday, May 8, 2014, she completed her work for the Savior.

Those going onto Glory before her include; her husband, her parents, her brother, Vernon Craig Sr., sisters Oreaba Lyday, and Alma Carter. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons; Anthony, Michael, Muskogee, four Daughters, Shirley Walker, Jacqueline, Vanessa, and Twyla all of Muskogee. Three brothers;  Amos of Detroit, MI, Lathur B, of Muskogee, and Sidney, of Tulsa, 18 grandchildren,  17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Home going service will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Faith Deliverance Baptist Church 12:00 pm. Burial will be at Fort Gibson. Care is entrusted with Ragsdale Funeral Center. Viewing will be held Wed. May 15, 2014 from 1 pm to 6 pm.
