Lesley Spencer was born on January 8, 1942, in Greenleaf, Oklahoma, to John and Leona (Hubbard) Spencer.  He grew up near Hulbert and was a graduate of Hulbert High School and Northeastern State University.  He owned and operated Spencer Blasting and Drilling Company with his sons for the past thirty-four years.

Les was a faithful member of Double Springs Church of God.  He was a gifted bible teacher and had the opportunity to share the love of God with many people throughout his life.  His primary goal in life was that everyone would come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.  He loved God, loved his family, and loved his work.  He was preceded in death by Charlotte, his wife of 31 years, his parents, John and Leona, his sister Edna, and his brother Bill.  He is survived by his wife Linda and his children, Les, Jr. and Jean Spencer, Lisa and Cary Bailey, Steve and Keri Spencer, Curtis and Sarah Spencer, Chris and Michelle Spencer, and Dan and Sibrena Deerinwater.  He was, also, blessed with fifteen grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.

Les enjoyed living in the Hulbert area and was blessed with many relatives who lived close by, including many cousins, his brothers, Raymon, Wayne, and Allen, and sister Eyvone York.  He loved spending time with his family and was always ready to share a meal and visit with anyone.  He was a man of God, a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He was dearly loved, and we look forward to seeing him in heaven.
