Betty R. Cooper

1919 – 2014

Betty R. Cooper, 94, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Baptist Village in Oklahoma City.  She was born at home in Muskogee, Oklahoma on February 2, 1919 to James and Ruth (Spencer) Donnelly.  Betty lived most of her life in Muskogee where she was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church.  In her later years Betty cared for young children and that was her favorite job.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dennis; her two sons, Jimmy and Butch, who both died in their childhood; and her brother, Eugene (Bud) Donnelly.  Betty is survived by her sister-in-law, Marjorie Donnelly; nephew and wife, Pat and Linda Donnelly; three great nephews and their wives, two great great nieces and one great great nephew.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Greenhill Cemetery with Rev. Ann Brizendine officiating.

Friends may wish to remember Betty by making memorials to First Presbyterian Church, 500 W. Broadway, Muskogee, OK 74401.
