Frank Virgil Summerlin

1933- 2014

Funeral services for Frank Virgil Summerlin, 80, of Gore, OK, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Millsap Funeral Service Chapel in Webbers Falls with Reverend Floyd Collins officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian.

Frank was born December 1, 1933 at Race Track Prairie near Vian, OK, the son of Bert and Artie (Shamblin) Summerlin and died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Gore. Frank had lived most of his life in the area, and prior to retirement worked as a truck driver.

Survivors include his children, Frankie, Charles, Tina, and Terry Summerlin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, John Summerlin and wife, Ann, of Gore, Roy Summerlin and wife, Pat, of Webbers Falls; and sister, Birdie Mathis of Fairfield, CA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pearl Whitney of Ft. Worth and Trecia Watkins of Fairfield, CA; brother, Alfred Summerlin of Gore.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Gore Nursing Center for the special love and care they have given to Virgil during the 16 years that he was a resident there.
