1935 - 2013

— Donald Lee “Donkey” Rolland, 78, of Fort Gibson, OK, was born February 21, 1935 in Braggs, OK, the son of Charley and Leona (Martin) Rolland and died Monday, July 15, 2013 in Tulsa. Donald Lee was raised in the Braggs and Fort Gibson area before moving to California and marrying the love of his life, Norma Marie Cunningham on February 4, 1955 in Old River, CA.

Donald Lee is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Diana and husband, Jimmy Sparks of Fort Gibson, Terry Rolland of Beggs, OK, Pam Easton and husband, David Holeman, W. David Rolland, Sammy Rolland and wife, Malinda, all of Fort Gibson, Tammy Williamson and husband, Charles of Gore, James Rolland of Tulsa, Scott Rolland of Fort Gibson; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; sisters, Martha Shipley, Barbara Ann McFarland, Sandra Gilliam and husband, Tex, all of Fort Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charley Rolland Jr.; sisters, Mary Stephens, Charlene Ragsdale, Deborah Rolland; grandsons, Christopher Rolland and Zachary Fry.

Services for Donald L. “Donkey” Rolland will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 19, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Gibson with Reverend Tony Shaw officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Greg Sparks, Jared Sparks, Nathan Rolland, Keith Williamson, and James Lambert. Honorary pallbearers will be Peck Eubanks, Mike Drosselmeyer, Wayne Gorley, Brent Muck, and William Raper. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson.
