Lovay Sherman, 100, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, in Granbury.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Mausoleum Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Visitation are 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home, Grandbury.

Mrs. Sherman was born Nov. 26, 1912, in Paden, Oklahoma, to Nathan Edger Nelon and Lucille Elizabeth Bond Nelon. She married William L. Sherman, Dec. 21, 1934, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was a member of Acton United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband in 1974, sister, Ova Andrus, and a son, Billy F. Sherman.

Survivors include daughters, Jeanine Kolstad and husband, Bill, of Granbury, Loretta Rogers and husband, Allen, of Humble, Texas; grandchildren, Gretchen Hunt and husband, Steve, of Granbury, Kirk Kolstad of Arlington, Bret Rogers of Humble, Sean Sherman of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Christopher Rogers of Austin, Shannon Ortiz and husband, Stephen, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
