Mary Lou Moore

1933 - 2013

Funeral services for Mary Lou Moore, 79, of Muskogee, OK, formerly of Oktaha, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee with John Litterell officiating. Burial will be in Porter City Cemetery.

Mary Lou was born October 16, 1933, at Lenna, OK, the daughter of John and Helen (Ridge) Fine and died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Muskogee. On February 2, 1961 she married Luther Lee Moore. Although a widow for nine years, and living on a limited income, Mary Lou generously gave to others: cancer victims, food pantries, and monthly supported jail and prison ministry. She loved her family, enjoyed painting landscapes, and exploring garage sales, auctions, and flea markets; selling her newly found treasures at Red Shed Flea Market in Muskogee. Neighbors often stopped to admire her beautiful yard, where she spent hours planting and maintaining her flowers.

Survivors include her daughter, Celeste Anderson of Muskogee; grandchildren, Tyler Anderson, Brian Anderson, Marshall Eslick all of Muskogee, Robert Tiger, Joe Eslick, Jerry Eslick and Katie Corley; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Freda Jackson of Bismarck, AR, Betty Uselton of Fort Smith, AR, Jack Fine of Broken Arrow, OK, Bonnie Litterell of Sand Springs, OK, and Roscoe Fine of Owasso, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Moore; and two sons, Bruce Eslick and Richard Eslick.
