Zachary Hunter “Zach” Johnson

1988 - 2014

Funeral services for Zachary Hunter “Zach” Johnson, 26, of Fort Gibson, OK, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 7, 2014 at Calvary Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church in Fort Gibson with Reverend Don Reed officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Harris, Ricky Johnson, Scott Bargas, Robert Lynch, Ethan Jones, and Dustin Yandell. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Swisher, Kolton Christie, Luke Swisher, Caleb Harris, Travis Jones, and Scott Yandell. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson.

Zach was born May 5, 1988 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of John and Shelia (Harris) Johnson and died Tuesday, July 2, 2014 at his home in Fort Gibson. Zach was a graduate of Fort Gibson High School and a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of Calvary Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church and worked as an electrician for Quick Service Electric.

Zach enjoyed spending time with his two sons. He loved to wrestle around on the floor and play video games with them. Just recently, Zach took Izac on a zipline across Lake Taneycomo in Branson, MO. Izac got off and said, “Let’s do it again, Dad!” Zach loved hanging out with his family at Nan and Papa’s house, playing video games, and telling stories.

Survivors include his children, Izac and Izaiah Johnson of Fort Gibson; parents, John and Shelia Johnson of Fort Gibson; maternal grandparents, Jackie and Mary Harris; paternal grandmother, Linda Johnson; maternal great-grandmother, Bess Yandell; aunts and uncles, Donnie and Gina Harris, Glenn and Shelly Swisher, and Ricky Johnson; cousins, Nathan Swisher, Luke Swisher, Kolton Christie, Caleb Harris, Courtney Adreon, Derrick Downing, and Corbin Downing. He also had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and loved ones. Zach was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frederick Johnson.
