Fetna “Teddy” Harris, longtime resident of the Ft. Gibson and Muskogee community passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 in Bixby, Oklahoma. She was born to Otto and Zelma Howell on March 1, 1939 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma. Teddy was a 1957 Muskogee High School graduate and she attended the Christian Chapel Church in Muskogee. Teddy worked for over twenty years as an advertising sales representative for the Muskogee Phoenix Newspaper.
She enjoyed gardening and picking pecans, but most of all, Teddy loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Otto and Zelma Howell. One brother, Jimmy Howell. Two sisters, Juanita McManus and Virgie Lawrence.
Teddy is survived by three sons, Kyle Baker and his wife Paulette, Greg Baker and his wife Katie all of Bixby, Oklahoma and Keith Baker of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. One daughter, Tracey Harris of Bixby, Oklahoma. One brother, Otto Howell and wife Mary of Marion, Ohio and one sister, Martha Latta of Raleigh, North Carolina. Special niece, Pat and husband Terry Smart of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Eleven grandchildren. Three great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews other family members and a host of friends.
Graveside services for Teddy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 26th, 2012 at the Citizens Cemetery in Ft. Gibson with Pastor Conrad Barrett, officiating.
Services are under the direction of Shipman’s Muskogee Cremation & Funeral Service 1325 N. York Street in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
