Joyce Jackson

1938-2014

Services for Joyce Jackson are 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Liberty Baptist Chapel with interment following in the Duck Creek Cemetery officiated by Pastor Chad Eads.

Joyce Jackson was born on January 28, 1938 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to George Thomas Henderson & Minnie Agnes (Drake) Henderson.  She passed from this life on June 2, 2014 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 4 months & 5 days.  Joyce was an avid sports fan, and could always be found cheering on the Sooners, Cardinals, or Thunder.  She graduated from Muskogee high school in 1956.  In 1961, she married the love of her life, Ron Jackson. For fourteen years she worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, until 1970 when the family moved to Liberty Mounds, Oklahoma. There they raised three children, and were actively involved with the Liberty school district.  Joyce will be remembered for her sense of humor, avid storytelling, and infectious laughter.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ron and an infant sister; Nancy Jo.  She is survived by 3 children; Jeff Jackson and wife Tammy, of Broken Arrow, Gregg Jackson of Bixby and Roni Jackson and fiance Callum Kerr, of Norman, OK, 1 sister; Barbara Bunch, 2 brothers; Bob & Don Henderson, 5 grandchildren; Kaylee, Maycee, Kyler, Jami & Justin as well as numerous other relatives and longtime great friends.  Online tributes and condolences may be left for the family at www.leonardmarkerfunerals.com.  Services by Leonard & Marker Funeral Home of Bixby.
