Christine Estep

1947-2014

Christine Estep, 66, a resident of Hulbert, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014.  She was born September 7, 1947 to Christopher and Patricia Walsh in Brooklyn, New York. After graduation from Satchum High School, she attended Georgetown University on a nursing scholarship. She married Robert Estep on August 5, 1971 in Grafenwoehr, Germany. After returning back to the United States, Christine and Robert made their home in Tillicum, Washington. She worked at Baptist Hospital in Tacoma. After leaving Washington State, she worked in Lompoc, CA, Atlanta, Ga, and Miami, Fl and she retired in 1995. She returned with her husband and son, Robert Estep II, to live in Fort Gibson, OK and then moved to Fort Gibson Lake in 2007.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Patricia Walsh; and her sister, Eileen Walsh.

Christine is survived by her son, Robert Allen Estep II of Muskogee, Ok; husband, Robert Estep of Hulbert, Ok; sisters, Denise Schultz and Doreen Munson, both of Spanaway, WA, Kathy Walsh of Eatonville, WA, Cheree Walsh of Tacoma, WA, and Patrice Jacoby of Harrisburg, PA; brothers, Brian Walsh of Solvang, CA, Sean Walsh of Lompoc CA, Terry Walsh of Lakewood, WA, and Christopher Walsh of Spartanburg, SC;  and numerous sisters-in-law; brothers-in- law; nieces; nephews; and friends. Her hobbies were golf, tennis, and fishing. She was a certified diver and also had her commercial fishing, diving, and lobster license when she lived in Key Largo, Florida.

She will be greatly missed.

Cremation services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Condolences may be made to the family online at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com.
