Diane Shirley Christophersen


Diane Shirley Christophersen, 67, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at her home. She was born April 9, 1947 in St. Paul MN to Harold and Clara Kling. She met and later married her best friend Robert Arthur Christophersen on May 20, 1967 in Inver Grove Heights, MN. They share 47 years of marriage together. She worked for Brockway Glass in Rosemont, MN. She managed the Shangri-La Restaurant in St. Paul, MN and she worked as a licensed daycare provider in Inver Grove Heights MN. Diane served as active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1988 as well as the Muskogee Arie 4042 Auxiliary President from 1997-1998. She also served as the Oklahoma State Madam President of the Eagles in 2003-2004.

Diane was preceded in death by her father Harold Kling.

She is survived by her husband, Robert ; daughter, Tamera Crawford and husband Kendahl; grandsons, Darren Ward and Austin Ward; granddaughter, Haley Ward; mother, Clara Kling; sisters, Carol Vodinelich, Linda Darsow and husband Don, Barbra Martineau and husband Bob, Mary Geriok and husband Glen, Christine Courney and husband Jim, Cindy McLeod, Marsha Favorite and husband Scott, Brenda Popowitz; brothers, Delvin Kling and wife Judy, David Kling, along with many nieces, nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services for Diane will be at a later date in St. Paul, MN.

Pallbearers will be Gary Christophersen, Steven Christophersen, Dale Christophersen, David Christophersen, Mike Christophersen, and Todd Darsow. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Darsow and Brian Bartholomew.

 Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family online
