James Price

1921 - 2013

— James Price, 91, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed awa June 29, 2013 at a Muskogee Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at  2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Ron Isam at New Hope Cemetery, Meeker, OK. Funeral Home In charge is Walker Funeral Service.

James was born September 14, 1921 in Greenville, TX, to Staley & Vesta Price. He attended Johnson school in Aydelotte, Oklahoma. On November 1, 1952 he married Lucille in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He served in the US Marine Corps, serving in the Pacific Theatre, 1st Wave of Saipan, and standby for Iwo Jima and Guam. He lived in Meeker most of his life, until the last 4 years when he moved to Muskogee.  He was a plumber.  James was a member of the Assembly of God in Meeker.

Preceded in death by his parents and a son, Richard Price.                                                                                                                                       

Survived by his wife, Lucille Price of Muskogee; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Eugene & Marsha Price of Shawnee, and Keith & Lana Price of Muskogee; grandchildren, Lance & Jessica Price, O.J. & Amy Price, and Blake Price. A number of great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
