Mac W. Rupp Jr.


Mac W. Rupp, Jr., 91, died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at his home in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.  He was born April 24, 1922 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mac William Rupp, Sr. and Anna Laurie (Ingram) Rupp.

Mac and Betty Rupp Boydstun married on May 20, 1947.  He attended the University of Colorado.  Mac served in the U.S. Air Force as 2nd Lieutenant during World War II and was a navigator and bombardier.  In 1963, he moved his family to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he was an accountant until he retired in 1986.  Mac and his wife, Betty moved back to Ft. Gibson in 1987.  He enjoyed tennis, golf, running, wood carving and his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Rupp, on April 19, 2005. Mac is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann Rupp of Margate England and Cynthia Barber of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; son, William R. Rupp of Ft. Lauderdale; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Friends may wish to remember Mac by making memorials to the Humane Society.
