Ryan Charles Garrison

1979 - 2014

— Ryan Charles Garrison, the son of Charles Ray and Cynthia Louise (Johnston) Garrison, was born January 26, 1979 in Tahlequah, OK. He departed this life on Friday, January 17, 2014, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 34 years, 11 months, and 22 days.  Ryan graduated from Gore High School in 1997. He went on to graduate from Connors State College as well as Northeastern State University in 2003. Ryan loved the Lord and was a member of the House of Prayer Freewill Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Webbers Falls Masonic Lodge #14.

Ryan loved Lake Tenkiller and throughout his life held jobs at Strayhorn Marina and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers that enabled him to be close to the place he loved, the Garrison Ranch, which he was currently managing. Ryan enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. He found pride in his greatest accomplishment, his precious daughters. Ryan was a supportive and very loving father. He cherished the time spent with his daughters whether swimming, riding four wheelers, or taking them to look at the cows. He was loyal to his family and enjoyed the moments he spent with them; from feeding cows with his dad, hunting at the cabin, working on his truck with his brother, sitting on the deck at Sean and Ashley’s talking, being the protective big brother to his little sis, Heather, or stopping in to give his mother a hug and kiss. He was not only a devoted father, but also a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Ryan will be remembered for his wit, his humor, and his carefree spirit. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Our hearts are broken, but Ryan’s will live on. We know that he is in good company and that we will see him again.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lee Roy Johnston; his grandmother, Lois Johnston Meeks; his uncles, Kelly Johnston and Jimmy Don Blackburn.

He is survived by a loving family that includes his parents, Charles and Cindy Garrison; his daughters, Isabella Garrison, Aryana Garrison, and Saige Garrison; his brother, Sean Garrison and wife, Ashley, and their baby due in July; his sister, Heather Garrison; his nephew, Jaxton Trueblood, all of Gore; Jaxton’s father, Joshua Trueblood of Henryetta; his girlfriend, April Chandler and her daughter and Saige’s loving big sister, Mariah, of Gore; his grandparents, Garner and Lena Garrison; his aunts, Diana and husband, Roger Ellis, Patty and husband, Vance Thomas, all of Gore; the mother of Isabella and Aryana, Theresa Presley; many cousins, other family members, and friends.
