Alan Coke

1951-2014

A 2:00 pm memorial service will be held for Alan Charles Coke, 62 of Gore, OK at Grace Presbyterian Church, 2401 South 57th Street, Temple, Texas, Saturday, February 1, 2014. Rev. Thom Lamb will officiate.

Alan was born March 14, 1951 to Jack E. Coke and Anna Belle Justus Coke in Ponca City, OK and was deceased January 25, 2014 in Gore, OK.

He attended school in Tonkawa, OK and graduated from C.E. Donart High School, Stillwater, OK in 1969.  He attended Oklahoma State University prior to joining the US Air Force in 1970 and was stationed at Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, MS: he attained the rank of Master Sergeant and was a trained boiler maker.  He graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Industrial Technology.  He was an engineer for Georgia Pacific Corporation in Muskogee, OK from 1976 until his retirement in 2013.  He enjoyed the hobbies of carpentry and golf.

He was married to Barbara Blackstock formerly of Stillwater, OK in 1969 and later divorced.  He married Tina McCoy formerly of Vian, OK and resided in Gore, OK.  They had 2 sons; Kyle Andrew Coke of Ft. Gibson, OK and Jason Edward Coke of Neodesha, KS.  They later divorced.

His father, Jack E. Coke, preceded him in death.  He is survived by his two sons, mother Anna Coke Leach and stepfather Franklin Leach of Temple, Texas, brother Barry Coke of Stillwater, OK, sister Carol Coke Huddle and husband Robert Huddle of Belton, Texas, stepsister Carolyn Leach and husband Richard Procter of Sierra Madre, CA, stepsister Janet Weiss and husband Troy Weiss of Anchorage, AK, and stepsister Barbara Perkins and husband James Douglas Perkins of Edmond, OK as well as 11 nieces and nephews.
