Georgia Ann Crossland

1947 - 2014

Georgia Ann Crossland, 66 year old Muskogee resident, passed away on January 25, 2014 in Muskogee, OK. She was born on March 21, 1947.

Georgia worked as a quality inspector at Zapata, and as she would say, she was a darn good one. Georgia worked there many years until she decided to retire to stay home and enjoy life the best she could. Georgia had a lot of challenges in her life that tested her strength. She was a very strong woman and wouldn’t let anything get her down. She was a family person, she had a special kind of love for each person in her family, that was just the kind of person she was. Georgia had much love for Elvis Presley, she even called one of her great-nephews “little Elvis”.

Our beloved Georgia is preceded in death by her mom, Patricia (Hull) Henson of Muskogee; dad, George Henson, SR. of North Carolina; two brothers, Roy and Jimmy Henson of Muskogee; one sister, Nadine Rushing of Muskogee. She is survived by one brother, George Henson and his wife, Margaret, of Muskogee; two sisters, Phyllis and Kay Newberry of Muskogee; many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and special friend/sister-in-law, Connie. Many loved her dearly and she will be missed by all.

Funeral services for Georgia will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson with Roger Pratt officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
