Kayla Mae Johnson

1960 – 2014

Kayla Mae Johnson, 54, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.  She was born on January 27, 1960 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Howard Mayne and Margaret Rowland Causby.  Kayla attended school in Warner and Oktaha.  She raised her family and worked as a homemaker.  As her kids were growing up she was the baseball “Mom” and kept score for many years.  Kayla enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  She was truly an Oklahoma City Thunder fan, always making sure her family was watching the games.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Mayne; mother, Margaret Causby and baby sister, Terri Whittle.

Kayla is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Misty Sharp and  Jason and Crystal Sharp; daughter, Tracy McClendon; sister, Nancy and husband, Evan Kunsman; sister, Cindy Kieser; brother, Ron Causby and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Colton Sharp, Katelyn Sharp, Joshua Sharp, Grace McClendon, Greg McClendon, Shelby and Rowdy Hartness, Tyler Cody and Teagan Counts; special nephew, Brian Kunsman, other nieces,  nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Fosters’ Ivory Chapel with Mr. Evan Kunsman officiating.

Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be made at
