Jerry M. Clark, 86, of Muskogee, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Solara in Muskogee.
Jerry was born April 26, 1927 in Ft. Gibson, the son of Jess and Cora (Fisher) Clark. After graduating from Ft. Gibson High School, Jerry served with the US Army as a unit radio operator. He was honorably discharged in 1952. Jerry married Katie Risenhoover on November 26, 1953 and the couple lived in Oklahoma City before moving to Muskogee in 1971. Jerry worked in railroad bridge construction for 8 years before moving to Muskogee. He retired from OG&E as a substation inspector.
Jerry enjoyed bluegrass music, camping, reading, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was also a dedicated member of the Ft. Gibson Church of Christ.
Jerry was preceded in death by a sister, Etha Gladd, and brothers, Louie and Bill Clark. He is survived by his wife, Katie of the home; three sons, Jerry Alan Clark of Muskogee, Donald Wayne Clark (Dawn) of Rose, OK and Jimmy Riley Clark (Sonja) of Goodlettsville, TN; eight grandchildren, Jesse Clark, Lindsay Clark, Jordan Clark, Caleb Benjamin Clark, Hannah Noelle Clark, Isaac Lee Clark, James Bristol, and Laura Pritchet; two great-grandchildren, James Pritchet III, and Savanna Bristol; one brother, Earl Clark (Doris) of Pasco, Washington; two sisters, Elizabeth Guill of Baytown, TX and Catherine Evans of Okay; a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the FT. Gibson Church of Christ with Dan Rouse officiating. Interment will follow in Ft Gibson National Cemetery.
