Anna W. Tolbert


Anna M. Tolbert, 92 of Muskogee died Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Anna was born December 30, 1920 in Lexington, Oklahoma, the daughter of Albert F. and Ida E. (Caskey) Layton.

Anna married Charles Tolbert on August 2, 1947 and the couple lived in OKC and Tulsa before Anna moved to Muskogee in 2005 to be with family. Anna worked as a radiologic technologist at hospitals in the OKC and Tulsa before retiring. Anna loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting and shopping with her family. Anna was preceded in death by her husband Charles on September 9, 1987 and a brother Ivan Layton.

Anna is survived by four sons, Kenneth Tolbert and wife Robbie of Lewisville, TX, Richard Tolbert and wife Sue of Muskogee, Charles T. Tolbert and wife Kathleen of Broken Arrow, and Daniel E. Tolbert and Becky Waid of Mesquite, TX; nine grandchildren, Charles Lee Tolbert, Diane Boyd, Loryn (Tolbert) Philpot, Les Tolbert, Trevor Tolbert, Skye Tolbert, Olivia Tolbert, Kelsey Tolbert, and Madison Tolbert; sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society 4110 S. 100th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74146-3629 or the Three Rivers Museum 220 Elgin St, Muskogee, OK 74401.

Graveside Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa with Chaplin Loren Welch officiating.
