Inez Newman

1936 - 2013

— Funeral services for Inez Newman, 77, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee with Reverend John Curtis officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Ross, Keith Martin, Jim Barrett, Ryan Grinnell, Brandon Martin, and Nick Mullen. Burial will be in Haskell Cemetery.

On June 17, 2013 Inez Newman passed from this life. Inez was born on May 2, 1936 in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Effie Goad. She met her loving husband, Kennith in Porter, Oklahoma. They were married on July 20, 1954 in Muskogee at Honor Heights Methodist Church.

Inez was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend. She prided herself as a hard worker. She enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren at the ballfield and dance recitals, getting her hair fixed every Saturday with Lori Lee, and long drives and lunches with her daughters. She made countless friends while she worked serving others at the Dipsy Doo and Archers Cleaners. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Ross and husband, Tim; daughter, Kelly Martin and husband, Keith; granddaughter, Tiffany Mullen and husband, Nick; granddaughter, Tabbitha Ross; granddaughter, Channing Grinnell and husband, Ryan, all of Muskogee; grandson, Brandon Martin of Tulsa; four great-granddaughters, Ellison and Addilyn Grinnell, Eva Bowlin, Isabelle Martin; four great-grandsons, Zachary and Kobie Mullen, Jayden Martin, and Isaiah Grinnell; and sister, Pauline Hollan of Poteau.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kennith Newman; parents, Lawrence and Effie Goad; step-mother, Era Goad; and several beloved brothers and sisters.
