Allen “Sonny” Foster

1940 – 2013

Allen “Sonny” Foster, 73, passed from this life April 20, 2013 after a lengthy illness.

Sonny was born in Muskogee, March 19, 1940 to Audrey and William Foster, graduated from Central High School, and right away enlisted in the Army.  He served two tours in Vietnam, 19 years in the Army and four with the Marines.  He retired after 23 years in the military and returned to Muskogee, to serve as the Supply Officer for the Taft Juvenile Correctional Center.

Sonny and Edna moved back to Muskogee in 2004, where he could pursue his hobbies of fishing, antique cars, anything electrical, and he received great joy from decorating his home and yard for Christmas!

He was a member of the “Gold Wing Road Riders Assn.”, with his 2012 Gold Wing Trike, and an active member of the “Five C’s Car Club” with his 1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass 85 convertible.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Gary Foster.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Edna, of the home; son, Allen Foster and wife Summer; daughters Carolyn Louden and Deborah Spittle and husband Mike, and six grandchildren.
