Odessa Lorene Freeman

1925 - 2010

— Odessa Lorene Freeman, 85, passed from this life on December 27, 2010. She was born on September 17, 1925 to Guy Thompson and Vesta (Green) Thompson in Frederick, Oklahoma. Lorene was raised in Stecker, Oklahoma where she attended school and met Utah. Lorene married Utah on September 10, 1945. She was active in the First Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday School, was actively involved in MissionettsWomen's groups and senior's groups, and was always involved in prayer meetings. Lorene loved sharing time with her longtime friends, Jeannie and Fred Truster. She enjoyed being with family, and playing with her grandchildren, cooking, and sewing. Lorene will be missed by all who knew her.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Vesta (Green) Thompson; her husband, Utah Freeman; and a brother, Carl Thompson.

She is survived by her five sons, Ron Freeman and wife Jan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Don Freeman and wife Beverly of Orange, Texas, Troy Freeman and wife Paula of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Mike Freeman and wife Nancy of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Steve Freeman and wife Lana of Newcastle, Oklahoma; two daughters, Glenda Ridge and husband Don of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Carolyn Moore and husband Michael of Coral Springs, Florida; twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-three Great grandchildren; one Great-Great grandchild; two sisters, Marjorie Bartosovsky of Azel, Texas, and Dorothy Dalrymple of Lawton, Oklahoma; one brother, Paul Thompson of El Reno, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 30, 2010, at First Assembly of God Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma with Pastor Steve Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Sean Moore, Kevin Moore, Skip Freeman, Kevin Freeman, Greg Freeman, Jeff Freeman, David Freeman, Jason Freeman, Jonathan Freeman, Dustin Freeman, and Wyatt Freeman. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family at
