Martha Lavon Pannell passed on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in her home. She was 86 years old.
The daughter of Muriel (Chesser) and Ovid E. Flesher was born on February 9, 1927 in Oologah. Martha attended school at Central High, Council Hill, Oktaha, Pierce, Connor State College, and Northeastern State College. She married James M. Pannell on January 19, 1947 in Muskogee. After school, James and Martha moved to Borger, Texas for 2 years for work, then to Port Neches, TX, for about 30 years. Later they retired to Warner, Oklahoma and then moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma.

She had a “part-time” job to have “something to do” until two years ago when a hip surgery finally slowed her down.
She lived a life of service to family and friends. From her home flower garden she made floral arrangements for her church, family functions, and social gatherings. She taught her family and friends the value of hard work, being honest, and having good moral character. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, James Monroe; and younger sister, Wanda Jean Jackson.
She leaves behind daughters, Sandra S. and husband, Joe Parigi, Donna Jean and husband, Tom Odom; granddaughters, Robin Parigi and Sandy Kay Cluck and husband, Sam; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Robert and Katie Cluck; brother, Ovid “Jr.” King and wife, June; “Mexican Train Tisters”, Neva, Stella, and Jenetta; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
