Betty Anne “Anne” Koch

1939-2013


— Betty Anne “Anne” Koch, age 74, a resident of Manitowoc, WI, formerly of Muskogee, OK, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her residence.

Anne was born May 10, 1939 in Kewaunee, WI to the late Ervin and Lucy (Riha) Sinkula, Sr. She was a graduate of Kewaunee High School with the class of 1957. Anne married George Koch on April 20, 1974 in San Leandro, California. He preceded her in death April 10, 1996. The couple moved to Oklahoma in the early 1980’s where Anne worked as an administrative assistant with the United Way of Muskogee. After retirement, she returned to Manitowoc where she volunteered many hours in the office of the Capital Civic Center. Anne loved the Manitowoc Area since moving back and enjoyed many of the fine arts the Lakeshore Area has to offer. She was an avid reader; and loved her flowers and gardening.

She is survived by three brothers & sisters-in-law, Ervin and Cheryl Sinkula of Two Rivers, Don and Joyce Sinkula of Racine, Mike and Barb Sinkula of Kewaunee; four step-children, Cheryl (R.J.) Morin of Washington, Christopher Koch of Oklahoma, Kathy Motzer of Washington, and Erin Edmonson of Mississippi; nine step grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th St. Manitowoc, WI 54220.  Officiating at the memorial mass will be the Rev. William Brunner, with burial of her cremated remains in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013.
