John Wesley Collins


John Wesley Collins passed peacefully at home on February 28, 2014 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. John was born February 7, 1933 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to John Robert “Bob” Collins and Dovie Leona Davis. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Collins. One brother Robert E. Collins/Vida and one Sister Ruth Ann Colip/George, both of Tennessee. John served in the USAF for 10 years. He then worked for Ford Aerospace working with the original astronauts at the Space Center in Houston. He retired from Colorado Springs in January 1989, and settled in Las Cruces.
