Vera Jo Gant

1940 - 2013

— Funeral services for Vera Jo Gant, 72, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 15, 2013 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Hughes, Randy Ferguson, John Burish, Richard Warren, Shane Fields, and Shaydon Armstrong.  Burial will be in South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, OK.

Vera was born September 4, 1940 at Muskogee, OK, the daughter of Hubert and Myrtle Lee (Johnson) Marlow and died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at her home in Muskogee.

Vera was a homemaker and mother. She had a loving heart and caring personality; always caring for those she met. She loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We love you Mama.

Survivors include her children, Jamie Gant and wife, Melissa, Dena Hughes and husband, Billy, Tammy Ferguson and husband, Randy, all of McLain, Shelly Burish and husband, John, of Santa Monica, CA; three step-children, Ricky Dee Harrison of Broken Arrow, John Tosti, and Christina Tosti, both of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren; and a special nephew, Tommy Marlow Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Reece, Sonny, Frankie, and Tommy Marlow Sr.; five sisters, Helen Branam, Clara Branam, Covie Sipes, Corene Sipes, and Marie Kidder.
