Paul Clay Williams, III, grandson of late Muskogee Mayor Paul Clay Williams, Sr., died Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
He was born April 9, 1948, in El Paso, TX to the late Dorothy (Bufkin) and Paul Clay Williams, Jr. Paul interrupted his education to join the U.S. Army serving 2 years from 1971 to 1973. He worked in Ft. Smith as an insurance agent and realtor before returning to the University of Arkansas to receive his BSBA degree in 1990. He went on to complete a Master of Education degree in 1992 and became a licensed counselor. Paul later developed an avid interest in computers and completed the Microsoft Certified Professional program.
Paul is survived by his wife, Beth; sons, Paul Clay Williams IV of Pascagoula, MS and Sgt. Jason Adam Williams of Oahu, Hawaii; four sisters, Judy Moir and her husband Ken O’Donnell, P. J. Williams and her husband John Williams, Dottie Cooper and her husband Paul Cooper, and Michele Johnson; four grandchildren, Lane, Heidi, Haley, and Mason Williams.
Paul’s cremains will be buried at the U.S. National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, AR at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March, 19, 2013.
