James Allen Smith “Papa”


James Smith passed away May 2nd, 2013.  James was born to Lee and Helen Smith January 9, 1941 in Ft. Gibson, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Smith; brother, Hoak Smith; brother, Paul Smith; sister, Emma Reeve; Sue Holly; and baby daughter Jessica Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Scarlet Smith of the home; sister, Wanda Holtimier of Ft. Gibson, OK; sister-in-law, Peggy Javurek and husband Timothy of Loves Park, IL.; son, Timothy Smith and wife Monica of Algonquin, IL; son, Martin Smith and wife Terri of Whitewater, Wisc; son, Johnathon Smith of the home; daughter, Billinda Young and husband Randall of Oktaha, OK; daughter, Michelle Cummings of Hayward, CA.

Grandchildren: Angel Smith, Teressa Smith, Christopher Smith, Daniel Smith, Maris Smith, Aili Smith, Satria Cummings, Joshua Cummings, Mia Cummings, Utopia Cummings, Rosalee Bautista, Joey Bautista, Charita Fletcher and husband Marcus, Jamie Young, Randi Young, Antonio Perez, Isaac Perez, Oliana Perez, Adam Wurster, and Jason Wurster; 16 Great Grandchildren; and a host of very special nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.

A Rosary Service will be held at Foster Petering Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 6th at 7 p.m. and the Funeral will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 7th at 10 a.m, with Father Mike Knipe, Father Bryan Brooks, and Rev. Terry Garrett officiating. Graveside services will follow at Oktaha Cemetery.
