Jacob Wayne Roberts

1992 - 2013

Jacob Wayne Roberts, 21, of Muskogee, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 in Muskogee as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Jacob was born in Panama City, Florida on October 9, 1992 and from there he lived in several cities before becoming a family with Jeremy and Patty Roberts in August 2006 and officially adopted on February 21, 2007.

He was a great blessing to the Roberts and Goodwin families. Fitting in so well with his new family that several people commented how much he looked and acted like his other family members.

Jacob graduated from Muskogee High School in 2011. He completed an Office Business Technology degree from Talking Leaves Job Corp.

Jacob’s passion in life were video games, anime and was an OU fan.

He was presently working at Homeland on Chandler Ave. and a member of Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church.

Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather William O. Goodwin, Sr., and his paternal Great-Grandmother Margaret Shelby, and Great Grandparents Orval and Inez Roberts, Aunt Charlene Lemley. He was joined shortly afterward by his maternal grandmother Loretta Irene Goodwin.

Jacob was survived by his mother and father, Patty & Jeremy Roberts, of Muskogee, paternal grandparents Jim and Linda Roberts of Oktaha; great-grandfather Bob Shelby of Webber Falls; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and special friends Ryan McCarthy, Logan Melton and Brady Allan.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in the Keefeton Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor James Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Citizens Cemetery in Ft. Gibson.
