Jason Ray Bartley


Jason Ray Bartley, 42, of Muskogee died after a brief illness on Saturday, November 23, 2013 in Tulsa, OK. Jason was born on June 5, 1971 in Tulsa to his parents, Mike and Debbie (Newton) Bartley. He grew up and attended elementary school in Broken Arrow, OK. Jason graduated from Vian High School with honors and was chosen Valedictorian. He continued his education at Tulsa University before graduating from Northeastern State University. He studied abroad in Spain at the University of Salamanco for several months after a month of backpacking across Europe. When he returned, he lived in Philadelphia while attending Rutgers University, from where he graduated with a Law Degree. Jason lived two years in California before returning to Tulsa and working as a paralegal for Jones-Gotcher Law Firm.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Newton and his grandmother, Anvele Bartley. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Debbie Bartley of Muskogee; brother, Justin Bartley and his wife, Jocelyn, and their children, Jason’s niece and nephew, Isabella and Perry Bartley; maternal grandmother, Irene Newton; paternal grandfather, Jack Bartley; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Fosters’ Ivory Chapel with Pastor Tim Salters officiating.

Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home. Friends may send condolences to the family at
