Ishmael King


Mr. Ishmael King, in his 61st season of life, was "beckoned by the Master" on Wednesday morning, February 19, 2014 from Muskogee.

 A loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and friend, he will be missed by the many family and friends that had the privilege to know him. He was a proud Cherokee Citizen, a Master Carpenter and a faithful Deacon  and Trustee of Canaan Baptist Church in Muskogee. He was a builder of Churches in the area and a loyal friend to many.

 He leaves in God's care; his devoted wife, Ruby, of the home:  7 children; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 siblings; and a caravan of other relatives and friends.

 The Sacred Celebration of his life will commence on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the most holy sanctuary of the Timothy Baptist Church. Pastor Kelly Payne is the gracious host and Reverend Wallace Brown, Pastor of Canaan Baptist Church, will Preside. Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee. 

 You may visit Deacon King as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., on Friday from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Friends may convey condolences and sign the online register at
