Mary Elizabeth Millsaps

1922 - 2012

— Mary Millsaps, age 90, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. 

She was born on April 16, 1922 in Gans, Oklahoma to her parents Arch Wortham and Bertha Marie (Marrs). Mary has been a longtime resident of the Muskogee community since 1948 moving from Morris, Oklahoma. After high school Mary married the love of her life Andrew “Andy” on May 21, 1970. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking and spending time with her family. Earlier in life she really enjoyed making her delicious Christmas Candy until her health began to fail her. Mary was a Charter Member of Bethel Christian Center, currently known as For His Glory, in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Andy and two sisters; Geneva Colley and Jenia Gaither. She is survived by one brother Archy Wortham and his wife Barbara of Coweta, Oklahoma and two sisters; Dorothy Keefover and husband Marvin of Porter, Oklahoma and Lola Lee of Muskogee, Oklahoma along with other nieces, nephews and friends who are going to miss her dearly.

A memorial service for Mary will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Mausoleum in Muskogee, Oklahoma with Reverend Delbert Hawpe officiating. 

Services were under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home in Wagoner, Oklahoma.
