— Funeral services for Vancie Hayes, 94, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at South Bethel Cemetery Chapel in Braggs, OK, with Reverend Parthene Miller officiating. Burial will be in South Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.

Vancie was born June 21, 1918 at Chelsea, OK, the daughter of James Harrison "Van" LaVander and Minnie (Fisher) Satterfield and died Friday, January 11, 2013 at Muskogee. On December 23, 1935 she married Elbert Dale "Jake" Hayes in Braggs. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include her children, Jasper Hayes and wife, June, of Texas, Willard Hayes and wife, Gail, of Muskogee, JoAnn Bray and husband, Raymond, of Oktaha; one sister, Zona (Satterfield) Craig of Muskogee; six grandchildren, Janet Bladock, Randy Hayes, Julia Scott, Keith Bray, Kimberly Bray, and Debbie Maxey; 14 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
