Terrence Alan Beckham


— Terrence Alan (Terry) Beckham, 56, of Warner, Oklahoma left this earth Wednesday, July 17, 2013.  He was born June 19, 1957 at Wimpole Park Air Force Base, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom.  Terry spent his younger years in Florida and California until the family settled in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma.  After leaving school, he served a short stint in the United States Army.  In the 1980’s, Terry worked for Ed Storey & Co. in California doing recovery work, and later operated his “Iron Horse Repo” service in Muskogee.   He recently worked often for his good friend and mentor, Mike Spradlin, and with Mike’s brother as field supervisor with “HOOKIT” L.L.C. in the tornado damaged areas.  Terry loved the outdoors, country music, horses, and stock car racing.  All these hobbies he shared with his son, Alex.  

In January 2010, Terry married Sheryl Ann Forrest in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Sheryl, Alex, and Allison happily became his new family.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl Ann Forrest Beckham; his father, J.L. Beckham; his paternal grandparents, Emmit and Lois Beckham, his maternal grandparents, Harold and Marion Gillard.

He is survived by his son, Alex, of the home; his step daughter, Allison Dow; his mother, Pamela Miller of Fort Gibson, OK.; his daughter, Emily Coleman of Salina, OK.; his brother, Jon, and Jon’s children, Jon Garrett, Madison, Maranda, Dylan, and Colton, all of Gore, OK.; his sister, Kim Barnes and husband, Roy and their children, Sam and Genevieve Barnes of Gore, OK.; his sister, Dawn Barnes and husband, Robin of Fort Gibson, and their children, Justin Barnes and Linsay Carter; his sister, Debra Young of Webbers Falls, OK., and her children Joshua and Shylow Young; his mother-in-law, Shirley Cooper Harris and husband, Marc of Muskogee; his brother-in-law, Mark Forrest and wife, Susan of Muskogee; his uncle, Roy Gillard and family; his auntie Doreen Lathwell and family, auntie Susan Timmins and family, all of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom; and his “special” uncle Brian and family of New Zealand.  

A memorial service for Terry will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 31st, 2013 at Keefeton Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Barks officiating.
