Richard Hill


Richard Hill, 83, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013.  He was born October 4, 1929 in Muskogee to A.D. Hill and Eula Reona Tyree.  Richard graduated from Muskogee Public Schools and later received an associate’s degree in drafting from Connors State College. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army from which he later received an Honorable Discharge.  He married Martha Ann Lewis on May 3, 1951 in Muskogee. Richard worked at Corning Glass in Muskogee in the maintenance shop and retired in 1985.

Richard was preceded in death by his sisters, Marise Armstrong and Anna Mae Graham; his brother, Adrian Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Hill of Muskogee; daughters, Pamela Kay Freese and husband, Kevin of Kingsville, MO; Donna Rae Alexander and husband, David of Durant, OK; son, Stephen Lee Hill of Muskogee; grandchildren, Kris Bellinghausen and wife, Shannon, Julie Burgess and husband, Ben, Stephanie Hill, Kaleb Hindsley, Albert Alexander and wife, Amber, Leslie Alexander; six great grandchildren; sisters, Sally Brasel, Betty McCarthy; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A memorial service for Richard will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 7, 2013 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with full Military Honors.

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Condolences may be made to the family online at
