1947 - 2013

Funeral services for Betty June Reece, 66, of Fort Gibson, OK, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 8, 2013 at Millsap Funeral Service Chapel in Fort Gibson with Reverend Emery Mason and Ben W. Stretch officiating. Pallbearers will be Donald Reece, Clyde Briggs, Rick Erwin, Hunter Erwin, Jerrod Erwin, and Dillon Reece. Honorary pallbearers are Darrell and Dalton Yandell. Burial will be at Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson.

Betty was born March 10, 1947 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of Richard Hunter and Laverne (Cross) Hunter and died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at her home. Betty was a graduate of Ardmore High School, and loved arts and crafts. She worked as a cashier at MRMC cafeteria.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Reece, of the home; children, Benita Erwin and Rick of Ada, OK, Shelly Wallace of the home, Sheila Dewberry of Ada, OK, Donald Wayne Reece and Diane of Gore, OK, Clyde Cade Briggs and Tomelea of Fort Gibson, OK; sister, Phyllis Mata of Concord, CA; step-father, Lloyd Bogle of Ardmore, OK; special cousin, Billy Ray Bryant of Waco, TX; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
