Candis Michelle Gross

A Sweet Completion 1994 - 2014

— On April 6, 1994 in Muskogee, Oklahoma Elizabeth Jones and Johnathon Gross prepared a little something sweet for the world and they named her Candis Michelle.

Just a little sweeter: Candis grew up in Muskogee attending Cherokee Elementary in Grade School, she was always sweet, giving and putting others before herself. She grew fond of the color “purple” it was her favorite as well as her stuffed monkey she named Cheesecake. She carried Cheesecake everywhere, the family couldn’t leave the house or go anywhere without Cheesecake. What a fitting name just as sweet as Candis.

She went on to attend Benjamin Franklin Science Academy, 7th and 8th Grade Center and graduated from Muskogee High School in May of 2012. During her High School years she worked at Braum’s in which she used her paychecks to save and give to others expecting nothing in return.

Giving you something sweeter: Early on Candis did nothing without completing it, whether it was a coloring page, a project at school, work or a simple promise she made to family and friends. An entrepreneur at heart she started her pillow business where she made custom made pillows. She never let a customer down, giving them just what they desired.

She was employed at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital as an ER Clerk where she did more than take names and do patients charts, she even had the honor of helping bring a life into the world.

She was a lover of music and of dance and had the biggest sense of humor. Candis’ smile could brighten the darkest room. She loved her family dearly and her sister Brandi was her best friend.

The Main Ingredient: On February 14, 2014 God desired something sweet for heaven. The Lord spoke and Candis listened and was ready for the revealing of the Lord. And as sweet, unselfish, giving and obedient as she always was she said “yes” to His call.

She now is the Sweet Angel in heaven for her Mother, Elizabeth Jones(Cedric), Father, Johnathon Gross and his wife Catalina. Her sisters and brother;  Jas’Rielle, Clifford, Brandi, Destiny, Daisy, Jasmine, Melina, Johnathon and Michael. Favorite and only nephew; Tyunta “BUBBY” Lyons. Grandparents;  Wilma Jones, Phint Gross and Judith Glad. Special friends, Quante Williams, and Tosha Dunn and many family and friends.

The Hour of Tribute will commence on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Faith Deliverance Christian Center. Apostle Lathon Archie, Pastor, will Preside, and her Father, Soldier for Christ Johnathan Gross, will give the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery.

You may visit "Bolly" as she slumbers in sweet repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., on Friday from 10 AM until 6 PM.  Friends may convey condolences and sign the online register at www.biglowfunerals.com.
