Billy Dean Buckmaster


Billy Dean Buckmaster, 67, born February 8, 1947 to Lloyd and Seba Sizemore Buckmaster in Muskogee. He married Theresa McClain in 1970 and was a lifelong Checotah resident. Bill was self-employed for many years as a carpenter and also worked for Apex, Whitlock Packaging and Jack Fork Land Company. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leon and Jack Buckmaster and son Brett Loyd McClain Buckmaster.

Bill is survived by wife Theresa of the home, daughter and son-in-law Sam and Stephanie Abbott of Yukon, three very well loved grandchildren; Skylar Nicole McClain Buckmaster, and Keagan Jacob Prather of Checotah, and Sam McClain Abbott of Yukon, Brothers; Lloyd Owen Buckmaster of San Antonio TX, J.O. and wife Vicki of Muskogee, Twin brother Bob Buckmaster of Checotah and John and wife Debbie of Oktaha, Sisters; Patsy Tackett and husband JR of Coweta and Sue and husband Ronald of Warner and many, many nieces, nephews family and friends.

Dustin Abbott, Chris Bone, Chad Buckmaster, David Jay, Travis Lawson and Scott Radaich will serve as casket bearers.

The family has asked Marvin Nichols, Arley Strome, Cleo Guthrie, Vernon Marion, Glen Green, Rick Smith, Frank Reynolds, Bob Wilson and Tom Herron to serve as honorary casket bearers.

Services will be Monday morning at 10 am at Checotah First Assembly of God Church. Burial to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Checotah.
