1972 - 2007

Keith Edward Shanks-Reece was born November 25, 1972 in Ada, Oklahoma and passed from this life in OKC, OK on April 22, 2007 at the age of 34 following an auto accident which occurred April 18, 2007.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at First United Methodist Church in Coweta, OK. Interment will be in Haskell Cemetery with Rev. Allen Carsons officiating. Dowdy Funeral Home will direct.

Keith graduated from Haskell High School in 1991 and from the University of Tulsa in 2001 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Sciperio Corporation in OKC at the time of his death. He married Katina Fries on October 26, 1996 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Keith proudly served four years in the US Navy during Desert Storm and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Reece is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Loyd Jackson and paternal grandparents Disney and Jessie Reece. He is survived by parents, Dan and Helen Reece of Haskell, OK and John Shanks of Muskogee, OK, wife Katina Reece of the home in Okemah, OK, son, Buddy Shanks of Tulsa, OK, sons, Kalton Reece, Kolby Reece, daughter; Karis Reece all of Okemah, OK, brother Dan Reece Jr. of Muskogee, OK, sister Amber Arnold and husband Brent of Haskell, OK, grandmother Thelma Jackson of Okmulgee, OK, great-grandmother Mae Harmon of Springfield, MO, special niece and nephew; Danielle and Seth Arnold of Haskell, OK, by a much loved extended family which include his parents-in-law, Susan and Boli Hyde of Jacksonville, FL, and Gunther Fries of Jacksonville, FL, and grandparents-in-law, Geraldine and Robert Johnson of Zion, IL.

Words cannot describe how much he was loved, respected and admired by everyone and he will be missed greatly. Things will never be the same without him.
