Funeral services for Jessie Thouvenel, 77, of Fort Gibson, OK., will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Millsap Funeral Service Chapel in Fort Gibson with Mr. James Ackaret officiating. Pallbearers will be Joe Thouvenel, Robert Johnson, Robert Hutchins, Nathan Hutchins and David Marlnee. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson.
Mrs. Thouvenel was born August 22, 1929 at McLain, Oklahoma, the first born of eleven children, the daughter of Ted Shamblin and Jewell (Simpson) Cambell and died Friday July 13, 2007 at her home in Fort Gibson. On August 1, 1969 she married George Thouvenel in Wagoner, OK. She had lived in the area for the past 38 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, George of the home; two daughters, Tammy Hutchins and husband, Robert of Fort Gibson, Lynn Goss of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; five grandchildren; brothers, Walter Cauthon, Autry Cauthon, Billy Cauthon, Jimmy Cambell, Roy Cambell; sisters, Mildred Brucker and Jenny Little. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewell Simpson-Cambell; father, Ted Shamblin; infant sister; brothers, Jack Wickett and Donald Cauthon.
