Janetta Crane was born to Elizabeth and Roy Anderson in Muskogee, Oklahoma on April 2, 1918. She graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1936. Janetta moved to Paducah, KY where she met Robert Earl Crane, whom she later married. They made their home in Memphis, TN. where they had two children, Patricia Ann and Thomas R. Janetta and Robert then moved to Muskogee, OK, where she began working for Egan Manufacturing from which she later retired. Janetta’s husband passed away in 1950 leaving her to raise two children as a single mother. Her priority was that Patricia and Thomas had everything they needed in life. Janetta enabled her children to further their educations by attending college and enter into professions that they could make a difference. Her son, Thomas, went into the military and served his country. Her daughter, Patricia, became a social worker and worked with Hometown Hospice. So what did Janetta accomplish in this world?—She like many other mothers became a “Difference Maker.”
Janetta lived in Muskogee for 62 years until she moved into an assisted living facility in Tahlequah, OK.
Janetta was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Crane and her daughter, Patricia Ann Crane.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Crane and wife, Janice of Duncan, OK.; her grandchildren, Robert Bartholomew of Gibson, TN, Michael Bartholomew of Carol County, TN, Heather Jolley and husband Robert of Duncan, OK., Melissa Bowman and husband Cory of Marlow, OK.; her great grandchildren, Justin and Joshua Bartholomew, Jacob Hamm, Rylan and Kaylee Brammer, Tia and Jaiden Jolley, and Brayden Bowman.
