Donna Marie (Ellis) Quinn

1951-2013

Donna Marie (Ellis) Quinn was born October 27, 1951 to Earl and Marie (Angle) Ellis in Blackwell, OK.  Donna grew up in Blackwell, graduating from Blackwell High School in 1969.  In 1970, she married her husband of 43 years, Jim Quinn.  The couple shared and exciting military career of 30 years, living in Florida, Kentucky, Texas and Oklahoma.  The union was blessed with three wonderful daughters, Tiffany, Jennifer and Holly, who were Donna’s life and hobby.

She was active in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.  She was a Camp Fire Leader, soccer coach, room mother, long time member of the Ft. Gibson band parents, she was totally dedicated to the Boy Scouts.  She served on the Neosho District Committee, was Cub Master of Pack 622 in Muskogee and on the Troop Committee of the Troop 627 in Ft. Gibson.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Roy and Sybil Angle; father, Earl Ellis; one step sister; and in-laws Russ and Rosella Quinn of Blackwell.

Donna is survived by husband, Jim of Muskogee; mother, Marie and step father Ray Robinson of Pawnee; daughters, Tiffany and husband Mathew Molton of Broken Arrow, Jeni Quinn and husband Jason Norwood of Tulsa, Holly and husband Preston Little of Tulsa; grandchildren, Ethan Carter, Nicholas Molton, Logan Molton, Hannah Quinn and Boston Little; brothers, Alan Ellis, Tom Ellis and Greg Ellis; four step brothers; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Troop 627 of Ft. Gibson in care of Jim Quinn, 420 N. J Street, Muskogee, OK 74403.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Donna Ellis will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Bradley Belltower Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
