Dorothy M. Phillips Rhodes

July 30, 1928 -- July 19, 2013

Dorothy M. Rhodes , 84, of Griffin, GA passed away on July 19, 2013.

She was born on July 30, 1928, in Texas and was the daughter of the late Roy W. Phillips and Fannie M. Phillips.  After living 45 years in Muskogee, OK, she moved, in 2005, to the Griffin, GA area.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Nolen J. Rhodes, her step children Nolen J. Rhodes, Jr., Mary Thompson, and her  brothers and sisters, Elmer (Buddy) Phillips, Leroy (Tommy) Phillips, Samuel (Sam) Phillips, Beulah Bebee, and Margaret Phillips.

Dorothy is survived by her son Paul W. Rhodes, step daughter Lenora Farar and brothers Elbert Phillips and Ray Phillips.  Dorothy was blessed with 18 grand children, of which 16 survived her,  and many great grand children.

Interment is at the McClain Cemetery.  Memorial services will be held on Monday October 21 at 7:00 PM at Buckhorn Free Will Baptist Church,  McClain, OK , the Reverend Pay Phillips officiating  The family requests that in lieu of flowers please make donations to a worthy charity.
