Arlie (Downing) Hoose

1928-2013

Arlie (Downing) Hoose of Porum, Oklahoma was born Wednesday, October 17, 1928 in Spavinaw, Oklahoma to Samuel and Annie (Grass) Downing and passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 85.

She is survived by; Two daughters: Mary Ann Putnam of Porum, Oklahoma; formerly of, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Phyllis Parsons and husband, Gerald, of Warner, Oklahoma; Two sons: Roger Hoose and wife, Joy, of Independence, Kansas; Doyle Hoose and wife, Nancy, of Warner, Oklahoma; Six sisters: One special sister, Tiney Hodges of Colcord, Oklahoma; One brother: John Downing and wife, Melindy, of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; Eight Grandchildren: Adrienne Putnam and Nichole Gloetzner both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Cindy Parsons of Muskogee, Oklahoma; Gary Parsons and wife Lisa of Edmond, Oklahoma; Michelle Allen and husband, Andy, of Collinsville City, Oklahoma; Katy Acuff and husband, Steven, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; Rodney Hoose of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Randy Hoose and wife, Amanda, of Jacksonville, North Carolina;14 Great Grandchildren: Talon and Nova Gloetzner; Savannah and Teagan Greenwood all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; J.J. and Charlie Parsons; Lane, Nathaniel and Trinidi Hoose of Carey, Ohio; Savannah and Brooklyn Hoose of Jacksonville, North Carolina; Chelsea and Hannah Fuller; Collin Acuff; Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.P. Rackley, Archie Patty, C.D. Hoose; two brothers, Cornelius and Dalbert Downing; and her parents.  

Funeral service will be 2 pm Monday, October 28, 2013 at Pioneer Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Snow and Rev. Henry Birdtail officiating. Burial will follow in Cramp Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler. Pallbearers for Arlie will be, Roger Hoose, Gerald Parsons, Sidney Hodges, Mike Hodges, Paul Barnett and Tommy Joe Heartz.

Viewing will be at Mallory Chapel in Porum. Saturday, 1 to 8 pm; Sunday, Noon to 8 pm; Monday, 8 am to service time.
