Freeda “Sally” Smith Allen

1936 - 2012

— Funeral services for Freeda “Sally” Smith Allen, 76, of Vian, OK, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Vian Baptist Church with Reverend Stanley Smith and Reverend Howie Ferguson officiating. Viewing will be Monday, October 15, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Burial will be at Round Mountain Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls.

Sally was born February 18, 1936 at Bixby, OK, the daughter of John Lewis and Ruth (Bradley) Shimp and died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Muskogee. On October 9, 2010 she married Juel Allen. She was a homemaker and member of White Chapel Church in Gore.

Survivors include her husband, Juel of the home; children, Ellen Greer of Visalia, CA; Carolyn Flannigan and husband, Gary, of Sapulpa, Alvin Smith and wife, Linda, of Muldrow; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Vanhorn of Wichita, KS, Leona Grogan of Kellyville, Beatrice Kennedy of Henryetta; and brother, James Shimp of Bixby. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Louis Smith; son, Stephen Smith; sister, Sarah Smallwood; and infant grandson, Gary Flannigan Jr.
