1924 - 2013

Leonard B. LaFerry, 89, of Haskell, OK died at his home on 8-22-2013. He was born on 03-23-1924 to L.B. and Ella (Epley) LaFerry in Eufaula, OK. He was a WWII Marine Corps Veteran, 32nd degree Master Mason, and original partner of LaFerry’s L.P. Gas Company, Haskell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Merna Coffey LaFerry, his second wife, Barbara Clement Durossette LaFerry, 2 sisters Louise LaFerry Keeney of Boise, Idaho, Juanita LaFerry Ridgway of Tulsa, OK, and one grandson, Casey Hayes of Kellyville, OK.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Aubrey (Mack) LaFerry and wife Billie and Donald LaFerry and wife Judy all of Haskell. He is survived by his children Elaine LaFerry Gray and husband Danny of Haskell and Tricia LaFerry Harris and husband Jerald of Arlington, TN.  David Durossette and Anna Kelly of Grove, OK and Suzanne Durossette Thompson of Tulsa, OK. Grandchildren Tracy Hayes and wife Paula of Tahlequah, OK, Angie Bowley and husband Chris of Ft. Gibson, OK, Cindy Ferland and husband Chris of Tahlequah, OK, D. J. Gray of Poteau, OK, Amber Harris Bruggman and husband Jared of Arlington, TN and Eric Harris of Fort Campbell, KY. Elizabeth Durossette James and husband Gavin of Tulsa, Ryan Durossette of Denver, CO, and Robin Durossette and wife Rachel of Tulsa, Erin Thompson of Washington D.C. and Caitlin Thompson of Tulsa, OK.  22 great- grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.

Visitation is Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Dowdy Funeral Home, Haskell.

Funeral will be held at First Baptist Church Haskell on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm.

Donations can be made to Masonic Lodge of Haskell OK, or charity of your choice.
