Kenny graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1966 enjoying football and track.  He enlisted in the Army in 1968 serving during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged in 1970.  He married Diane Dailey in 1971.  To this union were born their daughter, Amber (Kent) Gilliam and son, Gavin (Emily) Wood.  Kenny and Diane farmed the family farm for 10 years and in 1986 moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma.  He retired from Oklahoma Gas and Electric in December 2011.  Kenny and Diane moved to their lake home at Tenkiller Lake, near Vian, Oklahoma.

Kenny’s joy in life was his children, grandchildren, family and friends.  He made each of his nieces and nephews feel they were his favorite.  He never met a stranger and didn’t forget a name.  He was an avid OSU fan and held season tickets for several years.  He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in various sports, playing golf, lake activities, travel, and in his last year working around their lake home and building his new garage.

Kenny is survived by his wife and children; three grandchildren, Kaylin Gilliam, Alyssa Gilliam and Camdin Wood; three brothers, LeRoy (Sandi) Wood of Kellerton, Iowa, Greg (Debbie) Wood of Billings, Montana, Ron (Pam) Wood of Gravois Mills, Missouri; three sisters, Glenda (Jim) Jobe of Sun Lakes, Arizona, Janet (Lincoln) Jackson of Creston, Iowa and Mary Ann (Bob) Pottorff of Mount Ayr, Iowa; his father-in-law, Donald (Jake) Dailey of Mount Ayr; one sister-in-law, Martha (Ron) Landphair; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Pauline Wood; his mother-in law, Geraldine Dailey; a brother-in-law, Monte Dailey; and one granddaughter, Gabriella Faith Gilliam.

Kenny was very much loved and will be missed by us all.  A memorial has been established at the Cancer Society, 4110 S. 100th E. Ave, STE 101, Tulsa, Ok 74146 or online at www.cancer.org
