Paul Hugh Guinn


Paul Hugh Guinn, age 70, passed away June 1, 2012, in Muskogee, OK. Paul was born June 3, 1941, in Muskogee, OK, to Arthur Lee and Anna Josephine (Bishop) Guinn.

Paul was a commercial driver for many years throughout his life. He enjoyed leather working and later in life he turned that hobby into a business, operating a small leather working business. Paul had numerous friends with whom he enjoyed socializing regularly. He would be the first to admit that he was not perfect, but was accepted and loved by his family and friends for exactly who he was. Later in life his heart was softened by his grandchildren, granddogs and his love for the Lord.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred Guinn, Junior Guinn, Jay Guinn, Dale Guinn, and Donald Guinn; sisters, Deloris Garner, Kalelau Scott and Maggie Gates; and a granddaughter, Kelby Shaye Guinn-Gillin.

He is survived by his son Rex Guinn, his wife Treyce Knee and their sons, Jason and Joshua; his daughter, Jill “Susie” “Josie” Armstrong and her son, Zachary; sister, Wilma and husband Howard Owens; brothers, Bobby Guinn and Mary Flaten, and George and wife Vivian “Bib” Guinn; his first wife and friend, Barbara Pritchard; stepdaughters, Teresa Mann and Diane Armitage; and step grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Paul will be 2:00 p.m. Friday June 8, 2012, at Bradley Belltower Chapel with Mr. Budo Perry officiating. Interment will follow in Citizen’s Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK, with Mike Chewey, Little Bob Guinn, J.D. Sanders, Mark Hundley, Joe Bowden and Steven Jay Guinn serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Zac Armstrong, Bob Guinn, George Guinn, Howard Owens, Randy Guinn, Jason Guinn, Joshua Guinn and Jerry Howard Owens.
