Blanch Lillie Capps


Blanch Lillie Capps, 81, of Warner, Oklahoma entered Heaven’s gates on Monday, December 9, 2013.  She was born September 24, 1932 in Braggs, Oklahoma to James Joseph Hughart and Clara Etta Gillstrap Hughart.  Blanch married the love of her life, Charles Capps, on May 6, 1947 in Muskogee.  They shared 66 _ wonderful years together.  Blanch, a woman of God, an example of what a wife, mother, and grandmother should be.  She was such a joy to be around. Blanch’s lifetime calling was to be a Pastor’s wife and a homemaker, a calling she took to heart with much devotion.   She and Charles were affiliated with the Assembly of God.

Blanch loved spending time with her family. Her hobbies included painting, gardening, and tending to flowers in her flowerbeds.  

Blanch was beautiful, loving, and funny.  She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara Hughart; her sister, Joyce Caywood; and her brother, James Hughart.

Blanch is survived by husband, Charles Capps, of the home; daughter, Joyce Nelson and husband, David of Muskogee; son, Mike F. Capps of Warner; grandchildren, Brandy Miller and husband, Jody, Christy Potts and husband, Stacy, Michael Capps, Jeremy Capps, all of Warner; great grandchildren, J.D. Miller, Cheyenne Miller, Cody Potts, and Triston Potts, all of Warner; her sisters, Ruby McDaniel of Muskogee, Wanda Hood of Warner, Tommy Jo Hughart, Sandra K. Hughart, all of Muskogee; her brother, Charles M. Hughart of Gore; many other family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating Blanch’s life will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013 at New Hope Assembly of God Church with Rev. Clarence Guthrie and Rev. Clyde Powell officiating.  Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Michael Capps, Jody Miller, J.D. Miller, Stacy Potts, Jeremy Capps, and Cody Potts serving as pallbearers.
